Marti Hunter hates rockers and anything remotely related to the rock-and-roll lifestyle. She thought she’d left that all behind, along with her drug-addicted mother and absent-minded, rock legend father. Now she lives with her grandmother, and Marti’s life is finally normal. Just the way she likes it.

For Adam Jamieson, normal is not possible. He is the genius guitar player of the band Jamieson. He’s ecstatic to finally get a two-week break from his micromanaged life and a chance to hang with regular teens. Adam’s shaving off his trademark curls and going undercover.

But when Marti, the reluctant rock princess, and Adam, the undercover guitar wizard, meet, sparks fly in more ways than one. They spend their time alternating between making out and driving each other crazy. But their summer adventures of skinny dipping, storm watching, and stolen kisses are brought to a halt when tragedy strikes.

Suddenly, they’re on opposite sides of the country, just when they need each other the most. Can Marti survive life with her dad and his vicious girlfriend? Will Adam get so fed up with his over-managed life and controlling parents that he quits the band?

Snapshot. A moment in time that changes two people forever.

    • Hi Karen, I’m so happy you liked Rock and a Hard Place! I love the story too. 🙂 Adam will have his own story that takes place where Rock left off. It won’t be out until next summer, but in the meantime my next book Dream Chaser (or I might title it Free Falling, not sure yet) will be available this November. Keep an eye out for it. – Angie

      • Hi Angie! I was wondering if you were going to write a book on Garrett since you have written about all the other boys. I think it would be really interesting to see Garrett fall in love, since he seems like such a pill. I love your writing, it I would love to read about the oldest Jamieson brother.

  1. I love Rock and a Hard Place!!! I finished yesterday and started it reading again! The story was amazing and the whole true love thing got me crazy! Sometimes I was so immersed in the reading that I cried and felt what Libby and Peter were feeling. I’m looking forward to read more of your books and I really think you should write a sequel about Libby and Peter, see where they are know and maybe what happened with Libby and her dad.

    • Ismarie, I’m so glad you enjoyed the book! There will definitely be another book, this time focusing on Adam. However, Peter and Libby will make appearances, so you’ll be able to see how they’re doing. Thanks for writing! ~ Angie

    • Thanks for asking. Unfortunately, I’m not sure. My publisher, Avalon Books, is working on turning past titles into ebooks, but the timing is still uncertain. My fingers are crossed, but it will be a few months at least. Try your local library as Love ’em or Leave ’em is in libraries all across the country.

  2. I loved Rock and a Hard place and Dream Chaser. When will your next book be out and will Love ’em or leave ’em come on kindle??

    • Hi Jaime,
It’s great to hear from you and I’m so happy you loved the books! No news yet on when Love ’em or Leave ’em will be out on Kindle, if at all. I’ll have to go bug the publisher again. The next book should be out before summer. I’m working on it now and it features Adam Jamieson and a girl named Nikki. Keep checking back. I’ll be sure to post when it’s coming out.
Thanks again for checking in! ~ Angie

  3. So I obviously fell in love with Rock and a Hard Place it amazing!!, but I do have one small question and that is if we’ll ever know what happened to Libby’s father….Maybe I missed it somewhere in the book but I’d really like to know if it isn’t for sure in the book, will you mention something about it in Adam’s book?
Oh and I know you get asked this a lot but, when will Love em’ or Leave ’em be out in ANY format?

    • Hi Liliana,

What happens to Libby’s father? Good question. I haven’t decided yet if that will come up in the next book or not. Sorry I can’t be more specific. 🙂

No news yet on getting Love ’em or Leave ’em out as an ebook. It is up to the publisher, Avalon Books. If I ever get any news, I’ll be shouting it from the rooftops as lots of people want to know and it’s a really funny book. If you “Like” my Facebook page, you will get the notice when and if it comes in.

Thank so much for reading and writing in! ~ Angie

  4. Wow! Rock and a hard place is an AMAZING book. I agree with the comments on amazon how when you read the description you automatically think you know what the books about, but reading it the book, it blows your mind. Btw beautiful cover, AWESOME! And there should definetly be a sequel showing us libby and peter and how they balance college, touring and their relationship, also libby being apart of the jamieson family. That would be cool. Maybe you could write your book about adam and have peeks of libby and peter in the background and then once that books finish you could write another about libby and peter and those things i mentioned (balancing college etc), perhaps in their early 20’s, im sure libby would still want to be a bit independent. Just a suggestion 🙂 keep up the great work!

    • Hi Chrystal,

I love your ideas! I’ll have to work on the prospect of another Peter and Libby book. There’s a lot that could happen. And thanks for all the wonderful comments about Rock and a Hard Place. It’s so much fun to hear how it surprises readers.

If you’d like to stay up to date on new books and news, please “Like” my Facebook page Great hearing from you!

  5. I absolutely loved “Rock and a Hard Place” it was amazing!! Can’t wait for Adam’s story to come out. I found Adam funny throughout the book. I also can’t wait for the sneek peaks to see how Libby and Peter are doing. I think that if Adam were to have a girlfriend in his book, it would be cool to see how she reacts to him being a rockstar, can’t wait for the new book!! 🙂

  6. I absolutely loved “Rock and a Hard Place” It was such a good emotional Story. I actually cried a couple times! I am excited to read Snap Shot and hope you write another book about Peter and Libby. I would love to know if she finds her dad, if she ever contacts her school counsellor, how she does is school, how her and peters relationship grows, if she moves into his place….so much more 🙂

    Will be starting SnapShot today!

    • I’ve had a lot of people ask for more of Peter and Libby. They are just so darn fascinating with a lot of unanswered questions. Hopefully I’ll get to it someday, but right now there are a few more books just waiting to be written. 🙂 Hope you enjoy Snashot! Let me know. ~Angie

  7. Hi Angie, I want you to know that everything I’m about to write cannot even begin to harness the passion and raw emotion I feel when I read Snapshot, nor stress how fantastic they are.
For starters I read Snapshot last night, straight through the night, it only took me 4 hours. In that 4 hours I was moved to tears, both of sadness and joy. I want you to know that books like that are the absolute only reason I love reading. Also, I just finished Rock and a Hard Place just now and it took me about 2 and 1/2 hours.
The story of Marti and Adam reached me like no other, I would spend hours at the bookstore, and now, on my Nook searching for books like these.
All I have to say is 800 pages wasn’t enough of Marti, Adam, and the Jameisons, and I wish it was a never ending series. Thank you Angie for have giving me some time to escape the world (:

    • Ashley,

I cannot thank you enough for your kind, awesome words. I’ve had a lousy day, and when I saw your post, everything looked better. I am so touched that my stories moved you so much. When I write, I hope that I can entertain and take readers on a journey. I’m so glad it was a good one for you! I’m going to print off your comments and put them some place where I’ll see them often.

If you’d like more people to know how much you enjoyed the books, please leave a short review of 2 or 3 sentences on Barnes and Nobles or Amazon. It really helps spread the word. Again, thanks for sharing your reaction. I’m so glad we connected. Big squishy hug.

      • Way ahead of you, I left one this morning on Snapshots B&N review page around 1:50 AM when I finished the book (:
Although I still don’t feel as though I was capable of putting into words how truly amazing the book was. I’ve honestly never been able to feel so many different emotions in one book! Thank you for an opportunity to divulge in a separate world even for just a few hours, Marti lived out one of future goals which made it that much easier to connect with her! Again I continue to repeat myself but thank you!

  8. I really loved Rock and A Hard Place and Snapshot! Both wonderful books. I really hope you continue with the Jamieson brothers. I also really hope you write about Garret’s love story because although he may not deserve true love, I want him to feel the same way his brothers did about Libby and Marti. So I really hope you continue the series. Also, you are a fabulous writer and hope to see more books from you!

    • Hi Ruthie,
Thank you so much for the kind words. I’m so glad you enjoyed the books! I am mulling around Garret’s story. Hopefully someday I’ll get it written. Next up is a holiday story.

  9. I havent read the comments, so im not sure if anyone else asked for a sequel to love em or leave em, but that would be AWESOME if you wrote one bc I love it! and want more 😉 thanks!

  10. I just finished reading Love Em or Leave Em and I loved it! The ending was so sweet but I’m in need of more. I want the love story of Ashley and Luke to continue. Will he find out how she ended up on the show? How will the cameras/media affect her, them and is she really not afraid of it anymore? Will they get married? Please tell me there will be a sequel. 🙂

  11. Hi, Danielle and Julie. No one has ever asked for a follow up to Love ’em or Leave ’em. There are no plans for a sequel at this time. But if you enjoyed it, you might like Dream Chaser, which is pretty funny. Or for an emotional roller coaster ride, check out Rock and a Hard Place.

  12. Just finished Rock and a Hard Place. I really enjoyed the story. I didn’t get much sleep last night because I couldn’t put it down. There were a couple of times I cried for both of them. I really hope there will be a book 2 though! The ending didn’t give me closer. I really was hoping LIbby would find her dad and as soon as they we happy it ended and I was left wanting more. I saw in one of your other responses you are working on a book for Adam. I’ll be looking forward to it.

  13. LOVED Rock and a Hard Place and Snap Shot, When can we expect a book 3?? I am dying ot know what happends to them all!!! Please tell me there is a book 3, you can not leave us hanging!!!

  14. I just read Love ’em or Leave ’em and it was really good!! I loved Ashley and Luke but when it finished I wondered if the would get married or move into that house he was going to build. It was a fun book to read though with everything that happened 🙂

  15. Loved Rock and a Hard Place AND Snapshot AND Dreamchaser BUT mostly I just want to know when garret’s story is coming out!!!

  16. i loved rock and a hard place, snapshot, and dream chaser but im wondering if there will be another book in the Jamieson Collection? Peter and Adam both got their love stories and there are three brothers so i wanted to know if Garret will get blown away by someone next. i think it would be great to see the all-business brother try to balance a new attraction and the band…

    • Oh my goodness! So many questions about follow up books and Garrett. 🙂 Originally, I never planned a book for Garrett, but readers have made so much noise that now I definitely plan to write one. But there’s a catch.

The good news is that I have just signed a contract with Harper Collins Books. They will be publishing Rock and a Hard Place and Snapshot, giving them fresh new covers and putting them out this spring. In addition, I will be writing two new books for Harper Collins.

The bad news is that it hasn’t been confirmed yet whether one of those books will be Garrett’s story. Either way, I fully intend to write his book for all the fans. However, it may be awhile before it see the light of day as with traditional publishing things work much slower and I have one book to finish before that. So in the meantime, I hope you enjoy all my other books, and keep checking back for more updates on what’s next.

Thanks and hugs to you all! ~Angie

  17. Loved these books. Absolutely ruined any other rockstar romance for me. I just want to see Garret love, lose her, and then say he deserved it. Can’t wait for his story! I hope it will make me cry like a baby like I did while reading the other books too!

  18. I absolutely love this series. I just finished Snapshot. I can’t tell you how much I’m waiting for Garrett to get what’s coming to him because karma always comes back around and its heading straight for him. I can’t wait!

  19. I have read Snapshot and Rock and a Hard Place, and I positively loved them! I found it so ironic when Marti said Garrett’s eyes were too close together and that he was her least favorite, considering how he’s the most, well, “adventurous”, of the three brothers. I am extremely excited for Garrett’s story, and absolutely cannot wait to see how Marti, Adam, Libby, and Peter’s relationships progressed! I’m already counting down the days until summer!

  20. I just finished Snowed Over in a couple of hours. I’ve loved all your books, but this one touched me. It was so sweet and raw. The characters were real and lovable. Although it was a short novella, I managed to fall in love with Katie and Alex. I loved that it was an innocent story that wasn’t too intense or emotional, but they were just two people that had this amazing experience together. The way you brought it all together at the end was great. It was just a happy story that made me smile. One of my favorites!

    • Thank you so much! OMG, it’s so sweet of you to share your thoughts. I really enjoyed writing Katie and Alex’s story. And thank you for being such a dedicated reader of my books. 🙂

  21. I love Rock and a Hard Place and Snapshot so much!! Is there going to be another book one these boys? I think that they are amazing and I really hope there is one. Maybe about the oldest brother who thinks that girlfriends are a waste of time?!?!? I really hope so! Your books are amazing and can’t wait for the new ones to come out!

  22. Hi Ruthie,
Yes, there will definitely be another Jamieson Brothers Book. I love your idea of him not wanting to waste his time on a girlfriend. I’ll be starting it later this summer. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the books. Thanks for checking in. Keep watching my site as I’ll be running a contest to celebrate the two year anniversary of indie publishing Rock and a Hard Place.

  23. When’s Garrett’s book going to come out? I absolutely loved Peter’s book and I’m starting Adams 🙂

  25. HI (: I read both of your Jamison brother novels and LOVED them with a capitol L! (I think that’s the right capitol?) I was wondering if you were doing one with Garrett? You probably are but I just wanted to make sure(: I love the books with someone like Garrett (cocky and over confident) who falls in love with the one person who doesn’t want him and.. well.. you get it (: do you know if you’re doing a book for Garrett? If so.. when? Thanks!
PS. I absolutely ADORE you and think you’re just the greatest. I want to be an author like you someday.

    • Hi Dani,

I’m so glad you loved them. Squee! Yes, I am currently working on Garrett’s book. It won’t be out for a very long time, so you’ll have to be patient.
Thanks for the awesome compliments. You are so sweet. And that’s great that you want to be an author too. Keep writing and I know you’ll get there.

  26. HI 🙂 I absolutely loved your Jamison brother novels, and I noticed you are writing one on Garret. Will you be writing more Jamison brother novels??? I adore this series and I can’t wait to read the book on Garret!

    • Hi!
I have no immediate plans for a book after the Garrett book, however, Peter and Libby did leave the door open for more. We’ll have to wait and see.
So glad you loved the series!
